Tirzepatide Dosage Chart
A math-only reference converting common Tirzepatide doses (2.5 mg to 15 mg) into insulin-syringe units across 5 mg, 10 mg, and 15 mg vials reconstituted with 0.5 mL, 1 mL, 2 mL, or 3 mL of bacteriostatic water. All values are computed for a U-100 insulin syringe (100 units = 1 mL). For arbitrary vials or syringes, use the calculator below.

Quick reference: common Tirzepatide dose to units
The most-searched conversion: a 10 mg vial reconstituted in a common bacteriostatic-water volume, read on a U-100 insulin syringe.
Tirzepatide unit conversion guide (math)
Every conversion above follows the same three-step formula. Learn it once and you can adapt the chart to any vial size or reconstitution volume.
- Concentration (mg/mL) = vial mg ÷ water mL. A 10 mg vial in 1 mL of bacteriostatic water is 10 mg/mL.
- Draw volume (mL) = desired dose mg ÷ concentration mg/mL. A 5 mg dose at 10 mg/mL is 0.5 mL.
- Syringe units = draw volume mL × units-per-mL of your syringe. On a U-100, that is × 100. 0.5 mL × 100 = 50 units.
For a U-40 syringe, multiply by 40 instead of 100 (so the U-100 value ÷ 2.5). For mcg inputs, divide by 1000 first to convert to mg.

Frequently asked questions
How do I convert Tirzepatide mg to syringe units?+
Divide your vial's total mg by the mL of bacteriostatic water you added to get mg/mL. Divide your desired dose (mg) by that concentration to get mL to draw. Multiply mL by 100 for a U-100 insulin syringe (100 units = 1 mL). Example: 10 mg vial + 1 mL water = 10 mg/mL. A 5 mg dose = 0.5 mL = 50 units on a U-100.
How many units is 5 mg of Tirzepatide?+
It depends entirely on vial size and water volume. With a 10 mg vial reconstituted in 1 mL, 5 mg is 50 units on a U-100 syringe. With the same 10 mg vial in 2 mL, 5 mg is 100 units. Use the chart above or the calculator to check your exact setup.
Which reconstitution volume should I use for Tirzepatide?+
There is no single correct volume — this is a math question, not a medical one. More water lowers concentration and increases units to draw (helpful when a dose would otherwise be a very small number of ticks). Less water raises concentration and reduces draw units. Pick a volume that puts your target dose in a comfortable range on your syringe.
What syringe size is used in this chart?+
All values in this chart are for a U-100 insulin syringe (100 units per 1 mL, so 1 unit = 0.01 mL). Common U-100 barrel sizes are 1 mL (100 units), 0.5 mL (50 units), and 0.3 mL (30 units) — units-per-mL is the same. If you use a U-40 syringe, divide the values shown by 2.5.
Does this chart recommend a Tirzepatide dose?+
No. This is a reference for arithmetic only. PeptideCalc Pro does not recommend Tirzepatide doses or endorse human use. Always consult a licensed medical professional.
